As I launch BE INSPIRED, I am 46 years old with the large majority of my life having been in Asia. I moved to Taiwan in 2002. A brief 2 year stint in Canada from 2005 to 2007, then my life has been in Asia. If I am being fully honest, I feel more at home in Asia than I do in Canada.
For the past 18 years, I have been growing Maxxelli across China and, more recently, throughout Asia. Maxxelli is a premier Destination Service Provider, supporting thousands of expats in building successful lives and careers in the region.
We deliver high-touch, end-to-end support for corporate expatriates and their families, including:
- Home search
- School search
- Settling-in services
- Cultural training
At its core, this is part of an billion industry centered on facilitating foreign direct investment. Our role is to ensure that expats not only relocate smoothly, but truly thrive—enabling both individuals and organizations to succeed in Asia.
Over the years, I’ve been deeply involved in building and supporting communities across both business and lifestyle spaces:
- Held board positions across multiple Chambers of Commerce
- Served in Rotary China as Director, then President in Chongqing
- Founding member of Temporary Humans, a high-performance athletic community in China
- Creator of The Hub, an unconventional outdoor gym in Chongqing
Whether through Maxxelli or my broader work, my focus has always been the same: building communities where people connect, grow, and thrive.
